Description
A slender little fish with slightly flattened sides, wide mouth, blunt snout and large eyes. It has small scales and a lower jaw that does not project beyond the upper. A significant anatomic feature is that the abdominal fins are well developed.
Color
The color is pale brown on the back and sides with darker brown markings. Lighter colored abdominal.
