Description
Significant are the 3 spines on the back. The body is covered with bone like plates instead of scales. The Stickleback is a very small fish.
Color
The sides are silver, some can become almost black in color, the back is greenish black.
Average size
8-10 cm, about 20 g, the Three-spined Stickleback does not weigh more than a normal letter.
