Description
The Cormorant belongs to the Pelican family. There are about 36 Cormorant species in the world, whereof two live in the Baltic Sea area. Only the Lesser Great Cormorant is breeding here This prehistoric-looking bird with its small hook at the tip of the bill is fairly large and long-necked. All four toes on each foot are webbed which helps them in swimming and chasing fish underwater.
