Description
The pipe like stems have one main pipe, with several smaller pipes which often are longer, branching out from this one. Towards the base the pipe is twisted, somewhat like a cork screw.

On rocks but also on other algae e.g Bladder Wrack. Both in waters with lots of movement as well as still water, on depths down to 1 m.
