Osprey
Family Pandionidae

Description
The Osprey, also known as Sea Hawk, is the only raptor (a bird of prey with sharp talons/claws) whose outer toe is reversible, allowing it to grasp its prey with 2 toes in front and 2 behind. The tail is short and the wings are long and narrow with finger-like feathers that gives it a very distinctive appearance. In flight, the Osprey has arched wings and drooping "hands", giving it a gull-like appearance.
Color
The upper parts are a deep, glossy brown, while the chest is white and sometimes streaked with brown, and the underparts are pure white. The head is white with a dark mask across the eyes, reaching to the sides of the neck.
Average size
60-65 cm/1,2-2 kg, wingspan 145-170 cm.
