Description
Brown algae. Single brown strings are covered with dense, light colored fluffy hair, only closest to the base is it free from threads.
Color
Yellow-brown stems with white to beige colored hairs.
Average size
Generally 20-100 cm tall but occasionally up to 2 meters
Age
1 year.
Habitat
Lives on rocks, usually on beaches with waters with lots of movement, normally not deeper than 5 meters. This algae is only visible during the Mars to June period. Many annual plants thrive in moving water and moving sand bottom.
